Step 1: Gather materials. You’ll need your chosen purse (I found mine at Goodwill stores in my area!), a fabric adhesive, a mix of crystal flatbacks, assorted fine glitter (if desired) and a wax stick or Crystal Katana tool.

Step 2: Start by placing small dots of glue on your bag, in areas where you desire a crystal. Use the wax stick to pick up flatbacks and place on the glue dots.

Step 3: Continue filling in the bag with crystals – it helps to start by placing the large crystals, then fill in with smaller ones. Once you have all crystals placed, let the glue dry for the recommended time on the bottle.

Step 4: To add glitter (if desired) place small pools of glue around your placed crystals – sprinkle glitter on top and let fully dry. Dust off any excess glitter.

I like using crystals and glitter that match the fabric underneath them for a more seamless look. They will look like they’ve been part of the purse all along!

If you find a plain bag that looks good for decorating, you can add any pattern of crystals you like – try out adding your initials, or a trending symbol like a moon and star.  The sky’s the limit!
