A bit of bleach, sprinking of sparkling Swarovski crystals and several safety pins totally transform these thrift store tees and tank into statement shirts. The flashier the better, an homage to the rock band gods of the 70’s and 90’s. Just like a power chord, grunge and glam strike a perfect match.

Thanks to the slightly dreary day, grey tones offset that amped-up sparkle and shine. Sometimes, a great shoot location is literally right at the end of the road – a slightly crumbling road, that is.

Pairing said shirts with a silky or mesh wrap (courtesy Generation Bliss boutique), layers of mixed media jewelry and a badass attitude hits all the right notes. Guys – take inspo from Flavio below – bandana accessories are a MUST for summer (read more about how I made them  – and follow to make your own – here!). Don’t be afraid to rock out in crystal accessories – I give you total permission to.
