A quartet of four looks this time for me and Mischa, spanning everything from flowy bohemian to slightly Southwestern – variety is key. We usually have so much to shoot, we just incorporate ALL the themes into one! This time was no different.
Our first ensemble is as free as this insane Florida beach breeze – why is it always a windstorm during our shoots?! I think it was a little worse last shoot, tbh, so hopefully next time we’ll just be dealing with a gentle, balmy day (key word: hopefully…). Fringe kimono: check. Flower in hair: check. DIY Dreamcatcher necklace: a definite check! I made this mini dreamcatcher by wrapping thread and leather around a large “O” jewelry component – web the thread in the middle, then finish with charms and feathers.
For Look 2 we went with a pop of color and complimentary accessories. My Edelweiss necklace (named after the Swarovski Edelweiss stone featured in the design) combines labradorite chip beads, chain and of course, that statement pendant. Add a few sparkly stacking bracelets to match, then finish with a dainty hand chain.
Look 3 was all about an edgier vibe – I mixed my Curb Chain Choker and Stardust Sparkler Necklace for a layered, luxe vibe. The spiky appearance of the Stardust necklace gives it just a bit of a hard edge – perfect for the mood. Again, add stacking bracelets (kind of my go-to for wrist bling) in complimentary colors to finish.
Finally, we ended with a Southwest-type getup featuring one of my Boho Bandanas – read more about those here! – and crystallized purse. I took a vintage bag and added modern bling with some turquoise cabochons and flatback crystals – it could not be easier to recreate at home! If you’ve got old purses that are in need of a makeover, I say add sparkles!
